MPF MEMBERS' HOLIDAY RECEPTION

About 70 members of MPF gathered to enjoy the holiday festivities and socialize with friends and neighbors at the Annual Holiday Party on Saturday, Dec. 4th.    Millard Rogers and Karen Monzel Hughes (author and designer) were on hand to sign copies of the new coffee table book, "A Pictorial History of a Model Town". 

Thank you to the National Exemplar and the Mariemont Inn for hosting this event on behalf of MPF.

LEARN ABOUT MARIEMONT'S SISTER CITY !

Mariemont resident Tom Allman  gave a presentation on Hampstead Garden Suburb, London, England. 

Saturday, October 29 from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
at  WACC Cultural Center (formerly Resthaven Barn),
6980 Cambridge Avenue, Mariemont.
 

Tom studied City Planning at Yale Law School and has visited Hampstead Garden Suburb as well as other planned communities throughout Europe and the US.  His illustrated talk will highlight this beautiful planned community which was influential in the design of Mariemont.  Both communities were founded by women (Henrietta Barnett and Mary Emery) whose desire was to improve housing conditions for poor and working class families.

Mariemont families gathered at The Concourse and enjoyed food, fun, games and entertainment at this annual community event hosted by the Mariemont Preservation Foundation


3rd Annual 'Cocktails with Mary Emery'
Friday April 9   6 - 8 PM

Held at the
WACC Cultural Center  (Resthaven Barn),

Guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers at this informative evening with a display and slide presentation on Mary Emery and the history of our historic landmark village by Millard Rogers.  Guests  also had the opportunity to preview the WACC 118th Juried Art Exhibit.
